A randomized controlled trial evaluating efficacy of promoting Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination among Chinese men who have sex with men
A three-arm parallel RCT will be conducted: 1) Group HC (Online Health Communication Only Group) involving exposure to carefully designed, web-based, interactive and theory-based health communication promoting HPV vaccination uptake among MSM, and 2) Group HC-MI (Online Health Communication plus MI) of which members receive a 15 minutes session of MI over phone, administered by a trained fieldworkers, on top of the health communication intervention given to members of Group HC and 3) Group C (Control group) participants are exposed to online health communication related to mental health that is unrelated to HPV vaccination.
